Sonja graduated from the University of Film and Television (HFF) "Konrad Wolf" in 2009 with her film "Cocoon Child" which was broadcasted at Berlinale Generation Programm in the same year and, follwed by that, several other international festivals.
Her main focus is on cut-out animation and compositing. also she developed an unique technique called "Cellrepainting" in which she combines life action images to the esthetic of painting and animation. Take a look at it in her films "Inbetween" (2006, for Bertelsmann) and "Tanto Tanto" (2010, short film for 3sat / ZDF).
